I love ECGWeekly and all of Amal's teaching! I have been using it since residency and continue to use it as an EM attending! Perfect length with highlighted teaching points and lots of examples! It has improved my ECG interpretation and comfort many-fold! I know Amal's teaching helps me take better care of patients on a regular basis!
I am an EP nurse practitioner and Amal's videos have been part of my ECG education since the beginning. It is now part of my routine to watch the weekly video ever Monday. I love to review important concepts and learn new information. I am very thankful to Amal and the team at ECG Weekly for the valuable teachings they provide to the medical field.
I am a 28 year paramedic, flight medic, and paramedic instructor. I own a paramedic school in Atlanta and make every paramedic student purchase your site. In all my years of working and teaching I have never found a better resource in plain language as your site is.

I absolutely love the ECGWeekly. I am an EMS Captain with Fire Rescue and use it for continued knowledge and education. I then pass the knowledge onto my Paramedics.
Without question Amal is one of the finest clinician educators. Full stop. Of all time. His teaching style is thorough, and compassionate. He not only demystifies EKGs, but teaches and reinforces critical thinking and problem solving in a systematic manner. I was responsible for EKG education for numerous NPs in our company, and I did my best to emulate his teaching style. Grateful to have him as a teacher and role model, even if only virtually. Many thanks for making the world of medicine better.
I can tell you with absolute certainty your teachings have had a positive impact on me and my patients. Thank you for serving as a great educator. I appreciate you.
Dr. Mattu!!!!!!! (I'm sorry, I still can not call you Amal),
Since first meeting you in 2012 as an intern, you have never ceased to amaze me. I have learned so much from your example of simply being a good citizen on this Earth. Yes, you have taught me everything I know about ECGs (and I mean everything, I refuse to learn from anyone else), but you have also made a point to emphasize the importance of family, stopping to appreciate the many blessings of life, and the impact of putting in the work to get just a little bit better everyday on the quest to becoming in an expert in anything you want. You have directly made me a better husband, father, son, EM physician, and a better student of the many wonders in life. I admire you greatly. I respect your work ethic greatly. You are one of the biggest role models in my entire life without any exaggeration. There is not a single lecture, podcast, or post from you that I have not seen since we first met. This is not only because the quality of the medical education you produce is so high, but also because the nuggets you drop on how to best navigate through life is priceless. I utilize the values you teach on a daily basis and have started passing them down to my own children.
I wish I could pay you back for all of the influence you have had over my life, but I know that I can not. All I can say is, thank you so much for doing what you do!
With the highest love and respect,
Adeleke O.
P.S. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is still sooooooooo good!
Thank you for your easy to understand no nonsense approach to ecg interpretation. Your lessons helped me become much more comfortable with my ecg skill in my training and now role as an Advanced Care Paramedic in Ontario Canada. I love the short segments and I go to regularly to stay up to date and for reference on everything ecg. You are a wonderful teacher who can make this topic accessible.
Amal has changed the way I look at ECGs and significantly improved my interpretation. He is an excellent teacher. I can't recall the number of times when I am looking at an ECG, thinking "Amal Mattu said this". I would highly recommend anyone who uses ECG as a tool at work to subscribe to ECG weekly.
Dear Amal,
Your EKG teaching has changed my professional life. As a resident, reading EKGs was one of my biggest fears and using them as an asset to my clinical care, as opposed to an opportunity to be exposed as a fraud, is thanks to you. Your ability to synthesize concepts that are difficult to teach, always bring back the fundamentals of differentiating one wave from another, and be able to view the EKG from that of a new learner, who only sees squiggles on a page, is the hallmark of your brilliance. Thank you for what you do and for allowing me to be an emergency medicine physician that does not clench my butt cheeks in fear every time I’m handed one of those red and white papers.
Happy holidays.
Akash D.
Hi Amal,
Your education on EKGs are unmatched. I will continue subscribing to this because this really helps me with my practice. Thank you for all that you do.
I've been a member of ECGWeekly for quite a few years now and your teachings have been THE most helpful. As an advanced care paramedic, I've now started the movement within our staff, and we're getting validation from the ER that we know what we're talking about, and patients are being treated more promptly and correctly. It all started right here, with you Amal. Thank you for everything you do.
ECG weekly are the best spent money every year. I've seen you in Rome in September and it was inspiring and funny. You are a rockstar. I don't know if I've ever saved a life with the EKG skills you taught me in these years, for sure I've worked better (and probably I've pissed off some colleagues of mine).
Amal-
Thank you for proving this important information and doing it at such a low cost. I have been able to build more on my knowledge so that I can take better care of my patients. Thank you!
Wow what a compendium of knowledge by such a teaching wizard! I've thoroughly enjoyed diving into the library on a weekly basis and that's because Amal Mattu delivers the content in such a digestible manner. Thank you for your dedication to education!
I am a paramedic in BC Canada and I have been following you for a year now. You recently gave a presentation for my employer and I cannot express how helpful your approach to ECGs is. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it is a gift!
I started watching every weekly case in residency and continue even now as an attending. I keep a moleskin notebook with me on shift that has notes I have taken from the cases and I often use these when I talk with residents about tough to decipher cases. I didn't feel like I received enough EKG education as a medical student and my discomfort grew in residency. Amal Mattu single-handed brought me to a level of comfort with even complex EKGs and his teaching is indispensable. My on shift abilities as an academic emergency medicine physician to diagnose and treat are due in large part to this man's skillful teaching!
You are a gifted teacher! I absolutely love listening to your talks & ECG weekly! Thank you!
Thank you so much for everything you do! I can honestly say, these videos have made me a better doctor. Happy holidays!
I can’t say enough how helpful your lectures are to learn ECGs. It’s so intimidating when starting to learn ECGs but with your concise, well thought out, knowledgeable lectures it makes the information digestible and enjoyable. Thank you for everything you do!!
Dr. Mattu is incredibly knowledgeable about ekg and so passionate about teaching. As an academic emergency physician myself, I am amazed and inspired by his prolific podcasts, EKG weekly, and lectures he delivers. He is simply the best.
I’ve become so much more confident with EKG’s and I feel I have become a better teacher/attending for my residents as a result. You are amazing, Amal. We are so stinking lucky to have you. Thank you!
Best EKG teacher ever!! Saving lives with his lessons!! Thank you for making me a better doctor.
Dr. Mattu's ECG weekly has been a weekly staple in my CME from residency through fellowship and now as an academic EM/IM/Crit attending. He inspired me to help create an EKG curriculum for the residents at my institution. It is regularly regarded as one of the top grand rounds experiences provided at my institution on resident grand rounds surveys, and this is so solely because of everything Dr. Mattu has taught me through his weekly program. Of course, part of that curriculum includes access to ECG Weekly for all of our residents! In fact, all of our residents even know about his children thanks to the famous
Nikelekam T wave. Because of Dr. Mattu, I have become known as the ECG "guru." When I hear this, I laugh and refer whoever states this to ECG Weekly to learn from the REAL guru. Dr. Mattu, your impact on medical education in the U.S. and across the world cannot be overstated in terms of ECG Weekly alone, let alone your multiple other educational platforms. The world is truly a MUCH better place for having you in it. Thank you!
Always learn something new each week with Dr. Mattu. I’m the envy of my colleagues when he uses one of my cases/EKGs.
