 A 25-year-old male is brought into the ED by EMS with acute onset chest pain. He has no significant past medical history or known cardiac risk factors but reports smoking marijuana regularly. The following EMS ECG was obtained and concerning for an anterior STEMI and he was taken to the cath lab:

Before watching the video, look closely at this ECG and ask yourself these questions:

    1. Can young patients without known cardiac risk factors have STEMI?
    2. Would you activate the cath lab on this patient?
    3. Is habitual marijuana use associated with increased risk of MI?
