A 67-year-old man arrives at the emergency department with palpitations. He is noted to be tachycardic at triage and the following ECG is obtained and interpreted as “sinus tachycardia”:

Before watching this week’s workout, closely examine the ECG and ask yourself:

    1. What else aside from sinus tachycardia could result in this narrow complex regular rhythm?
    2. Are you familiar with the “flip trick” or the “Bix rule”?
